Cell Phone Sanitiser Options

The pandemic has turned nearly everyone into germophobes. It’s hard not to care about cell phone sanitiser when most of the news revolve around the spread of viral infection and its toll on different countries. It’s a good thing that so many people care about protecting themselves and their loved ones. They adhere to the government advice on masking and social distancing. They refrain from going outside unless necessary. They constantly wash their hands and disinfect surfaces around the house. One item that we always have in our hands is our phones so it’s only prudent to include this in our routines. Below are a few cell phone sanitiser options:

Disinfectant Wipes

We take our phones everywhere. When we’re outside the house, we may not have all of our cleaning tools nor would be want to take them. We need a small cleaning solution for quick sanitation. Disinfectant wipes are ideal in this kind of situation. Just have a pack in your bag and take out one sheet whenever you need to. You can wipe your hands with it. You may also wipe the phone’s surfaces including front, back, and sides. These are damp but not soaking wet so they should be safe to use on electronic devices as long as you stick to the surfaces. Don’t wipe while charging or otherwise connected to an outlet.

Soft Cloth with Alcohol

When you’re just staying at home, you can minimise waste by opting for the combination of a soft cloth and alcohol. Experts recommend the use of a microfiber cloth which is lint-free and non-abrasive. This will protect the delicate coatings on the surfaces of devices. You should also make sure that you are using at least 70% isopropyl alcohol and similar cleaning solutions. Don’t spray the liquid directly on the phones. Instead, spray it on the cloth and use this to wipe the surfaces. This is a safer method that avoids moisture from getting into the crevices.

UV Sanitisers

Another solution is to use ultraviolet light. UV rays are known to cause damage to viruses and bacteria. These pathogens will no longer be able to reproduce so they will eventually die out instead of causing more infections. The exposure should be long enough at a suitable level. Just make sure to avert your eyes as UV light can impair vision as well. There are products that focus on phone sanitation using UV technology. They look like a case with a slot that fits most phones. Just close it up and the light will perform its job inside to make it safer for the users.
