Find Your Passion And Live Happy Ever After

In life, we often hear people saying we need to secure a career, find a partner, graduate from college, have children, buy a home and take care of our family. However, how often has anyone ever told you to Find Your Passion?

We live in a society that puts much emphasis on a set of generic one-size-fits-all goals that we are expected to meet by certain milestones in our life. If we don’t meet them, we are looked down and thought of as strange or immature. More often than not, people go through their life living by the expectations of others and of society having never indulged in the things they really want to do. Some people think they will follow their passions into retirement only to reach that milestone in poor health or saddled by other unexpected issues such as caring for grandchildren or ailing relatives.

To Find Your Passion is something not many people have the chance to do in life. Sure, we all have the want and intention to find it, but acting on that quest is another story.

One thing that may prevent people from following their dreams, besides societal expectations, is the fact that they may not be aware of what their passion is or they are simply not in tune with it enough to realize that they should pursue it. For example, someone may know at a young age that they love taking pictures and are good at it, but their hobby never goes further than that. A person who is in tune with their desires would realize that that is their passion and they should build on it. A person who loves taking pictures and is good at it should move on to build an inventory of quality equipment and take some courses on how to better their natural talent. With persistence and hard work, that person could make a career out of their passion. A budding photographer may hear family and friends tell them that they are dreamers and they will never make it and that is why many never follow their dreams.

If you want to uncover your passion and follow it, you need to stay true to yourself, forget what other people think and forget about what society thinks. Remember, this is your life and you get one chance to do it right. Don’t be someone who goes through life only to regret not following your dream in the end!
