How To Kill A Hangover

A night out with friends is fun and all until you have to deal with stressful hangovers. For those who haven’t experienced a hangover – imagine how it felt the last time you were sick, and then add the worst food you’ve ever taken. You feel weak, nauseated and everything about your existence becomes very uncomfortable. Everything, including the things you usually enjoy become irritating and everyone seems to shout at such times. But that’s what you get for having too much fun.

The good thing is, you can get past a hangover and actually enjoy the rest of the day nicely. There are all kinds of hangover remedies you can try to kill a hangover. Some of the ingredients used in these remedies can be found right there in your house while others will require that you send a sober person to pick them up for you.

The best place to start to kill a hangover is to get hydrated. Your body might not welcome water at such times but it really helps to drink plenty of water. Throwing up can be a friend when you have a hangover and water helps keep you ‘alive’. So don’t hold it in and make sure you replace it with more water. If you throw up some more, then clean your system and then eat something of you get hungry.

Fruits such as oranges and ripe mangoes can help reduce the effects of hangovers. Note that anything will taste awful when you have a hangover so it might take some effort to actually get the fruits into your body.

Avoid eating anything with fat or yeast when you have a hangover. These kinds of foods won’t help kill your hangover and might actually worsen the situation.

While this is not recommended, some people use painkillers to help stop hangovers. After a drinking spree, some people will actually take a painkiller before going to sleep to prevent hangovers. This should be used as a last resort as painkillers can be addictive and can harm your health when used improperly.

The Best Hangover Drink

Hangovers can be cured by a number of drinks. What works on you will mostly depend on how your body reacts to it. Coffee, tomato juice, ginger, fruit juice and asparagus are just some of the drinks you can make to help cure a hangover. If this is your first or worst hangover, then it would be worth trying to see what works for you.

The aim of any hangover cure should be focused on hydrating your body and removing undigested toxins. Although for some people, taking more alcohol in the morning seems to do the trick.

The best way to prevent a hangover is to drink responsibly. Hopefully, your current hangover will help you know your limits and take just the right amount of alcohol next time.
