Self Confidence And Yourself

It is not possible to learn how to be confident, it is a state of mind and there is no set of rules that can be learned. Practice, positive thinking, talking to others and knowledge are useful ways to boost or improve your confidence.

How confidence works comes when you feel comfortable in your own body, you fell well, you believe in yourself and your abilities. Confidence is something that most people want to achieve, but do not possess.

What is Self-Confidence?

Many people think about self-confidence in different ways, but what is basically means is having faith in yourself.

How we have been raised and what we were taught when we were growing up has an impact on our confidence. We all learn from other people about how we should behave, and what we learn from them will affect how we see ourselves. Confidence is also a result of how we have learned through experiences and how we react to different situations.

We can feel more confident on some days, and less on others. There is no way to control how confident we are going to feel on any given day.

There are a number of factors that can cause low-confidence such as criticism, not being happy with the way we look, the fear of the unknown, previous failures, poor time-management, and the feeling of not being prepared enough. Most of the time what we think others will think of us is what makes us feel confident or not confident. We tend to think that someone will make fun of us if we make a mistake and this is what prevents us from doing the things we need or want to do. In general, we are scared of being embarrassed.

Over-confidence can more than often bring on problems, especially if you believe that you can do anything, even when you do not have the knowledge or skills needed to do something well. When people are over-confident, they will often see themselves failing. Being over-confident will most likely lead to you people who are just as egotistical or arrogant. People will take pleasure in your failures if they deem you to be arrogant.

Self-esteem and confidence are not the same, even though they can be linked. Confidence describes how we feel about our abilities to perform, whereas self-esteem is used to describe how we feel about ourselves. People who have low self-esteem usually have low confidence as well, but it is possible for someone with low self-esteem to have a high level of low confidence in certain areas, and visa verse.

So this is basically how confidence works.
