Swedish Medical Linguistic Validation, as mentioned earlier, professionals who want to practice medicine in Sweden must be conversant with the Swedish language. In this program, you’ll be taught basic speaking, reading and writing skills, and how to read and write medical terminologies in Swedish. PYS Medicin Exam
The PYS Medicin exam is an assessment test set by doctors in Swedish that you’ll have to take and pass after going through the language learning program to be able to practice medicine in the country. If you pass this exam, you’ll be issued a validation certificate proving that you’ve successfully completed level C1 of Swedish language skills.
Applying for a License as a Medical Practitioner
To apply for a license to practice as a medical doctor or dentist, you’ll be required to provide the level C1 certificate of validation to prove that you have acquired Swedish language communication skills. Currently, foreign medical professionals allowed to practice in Sweden are doctors and dentists. But soon, foreign nurses and midwives too will be allowed to apply for this program and be able to work in the country.
